DEFENSE ET SECURITE AERIENNE – Selon le magazine en ligne “Intelligence Online” édité à Paris : un contrat, d’une valeur de 150 millions $, a été signé et facilité par l’homme d’affaires Mati Kochavi, l’un des principaux intermédiaires entre Israël et Abou Dhabi.

ISRAELVALLEY PLUSrnAbou Dhabi est le carrefour financier, de transport et de communications d’une riche région productrice de pétrole, dotée d’un aéroport international et d’un port artificiel (Mina Zayed). La ville produit notamment des câbles en acier et du ciment. Elle abrite un institut de recherches et un grand complexe sportif.

Fondée dans les années 1760, Abou Dhabi devient en 1795 la résidence des dirigeants de l’Émirat d’Abou Dhabi. Elle n’est encore qu’une bourgade de pêcheurs lorsque des gisements pétroliers sont découverts dans la région, en 1958. Elle connaît dès lors une croissance démographique spectaculaire entraînée par l’arrivée massive de travailleurs étrangers, principalement asiatiques. En 1971, Abou Dhabi est déclarée capitale fédérale provisoire de la nouvelle fédération des Émirats arabes unis et confirmée dans ce rôle en 1981.

Mr. Kochavi is also the President of the not-for-profit Bridging the Rift Foundation, which is building a scientific center for collaborative research on the border between Jordan and Israel in partnership with Stanford and Cornell Universities.
